The Doll Palace was just a homepage that was hosted as a part of the other site at home dsl line. It was a pretty simple site, but it was amazing how many people were interested in getting our dolls. In the beginning we were just giving out the dolls with codes. There were absolutely no tools and nothing like any dynamic content that we have now.
Slowly the site was growing and at some point our line started slowing down. Our old server was not able to handle the heavy load. We decided to move somewhere else. Thanks to our friends we were able to get free T1 line and dedicated powerful server for hosting. Soon enough we realized that our new line was not able to handle our growing load. Currently we have three different servers with separate lines handling the site.
Even though we did get some outside help, it is two of us who stand behind the development and creation of the site as you see it now. Jess AKA Darkangel started the site and is behind all the dolls that you see here. She is responsible for most of the design and graphical features of the site. Jess was involved in the site from the very beginning (she is the official creator). When the site started growing, I slowly took over the development of the features and Jessica continued to do what she liked the most: creating of the dolls. With hundreds of thousands users, huge base of different dolls that you can only imagine there is no doubt The Doll Palace is the leader in the cartoon dolls community. The Doll Palace Dollmaker© currently has around 8000 items which in theory allows people to build 5.1841810604808769398058197974277e+27752. (Yep, it is a pretty big number with 27752 zeros) dolls.
