Transparency

Here is my way of making an image transparent using Paint Shop Pro.

step 1



At the moment the doll above has a white background, together we will both use the image above. Please right click the doll above and save it to your computer where you can easily find it.

step 2

Open the doll image in Paint Shop Pro. In your colour pallete you will see



I have used neon green (#00FF00). Now using your flood fill tool, fill in the white background with the new background colour you have chosen. It should now be looking like the below image.



step 3

Go to File > Export > Gif Optimizer



In your gif optimizer you will see the following image



Choose the following settings like above. Where it says Areas that match this color be sure to choose the colour you used as the background, Press ok and you are done. Now save your image

Finished!



You should now have a transparent doll :o).
